- Singapore has emerged first in both Mathematics and Science in a 49-country study of Grade 4 (Primary 4) and Grade 8 (Secondary 2) students conducted in 2002-03. The study, conducted by the International Association for Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) based in Boston, USA, affirms the high quality of Mathematics and Science education in our public schools in Singapore.
- National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked 18th in Times of London survey of the 200 best universities in the world for 2004. NUS also appeared in the top league of Engineering and IT universities, placed 9th in faculty ranking survey, ahead of many renowned universities.
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU) MBA students have also been rated as among 'the best in the world' in a 2004 study by the Economist Intelligence Unit, a member of the Economist Group rankings. NTU was amongst the world's top 100 MBA schools.
- In Asiaweek's Asia's Best Universities 2000 rankings, National University of Singapore (NUS) came in 5th, out of 77 universities, in the overall ranking of multi-disciplinary schools in Asia. Nanyang Technological University was placed 9th, out of 39 universities, in the overall ranking for science and technology schools. And in the Asia's Best MBA Schools 2000 category, NUS Business School was one of schools identified as having the "Best Part-Time MBA" and enjoying the "Best in Reputation".
